Partnerships:

EV has a partnership with architectural design NGO Journeyman International, which provides volunteer architectural design services performed by university students around the world, including here in Rwanda. These students consider the needs of EV partner communities and create visualizations and architectural design concepts for the construction of facilities that serve the purpose of positive social impact.

OUR PROCESS

EV Community Liaison Officers interview local community members and analyze the social and environmental impacts of EV interventions.

EV synthesizes data from surveys and analysis to inform the types of projects we bring into our approach, the availability of local materials, and the cultural styles of nearby buildings.

This data is shared with in-house EV design team who then collaborates with volunteer designers from partners Journeyman International to create schematic designs for community facilities.

Once these designs are finished, they are proposed to local leadership before the EV team mobilizes on-site builders to interpret and construct the JI designs.
